CEO NewsletterTeam,
Here’s to a new month and bringing on the EBITDA! I’m pleased to announce that we are off to a great start with a number of key renewals, and some exciting fall and holiday events coming up.
Over the past several weeks, we have renewed a number of key contracts. They include the McAllen Convention Center, King Richard’s Faire, the Indianapolis Zoo, and most recently, the San Diego Convention Center.
Nice job, team! These are all significant renewals as these accounts are representative of the diverse nature of our business segments. I would like to thank all of the hard working and dedicated team members for their superior efforts to get these renewals done in advance of contract expiration. Building strong client relationships, executing on our plan to provide great hospitality for our guests and providing a safe, healthy and fun environment for our employees is what allows us to maintain an industry leading retention rate.
We are constantly looking to renew our relationships—please let me know if you need help with yours.
Congratulations to the San Francisco Giants for making it through the single elimination Wild Card game. Our experienced championship team at AT&T Park is ready to go deep into the playoffs, and we expect a great postseason. Go Giants!
This past week, Trip Advisor also announced its new rankings for museums. The World War II Museum in New Orleans (our newest account) saw their ranking improve from #7 up to #4 in the United States. They are currently ranked as the 11th best museum in the world. If you’re able to make your way to New Orleans, don’t miss seeing the WWII Museum—it’s fascinating and the food is delicious. Be sure to say hello to our General Manager Jerry Reed and his fabulous team.
Finally, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is something that affects so many lives indiscriminately—I encourage everyone to take the time this month to support those in our community who are faced with this frightening disease. Whether through being supportive to a friend who is facing a diagnosis or that of a loved one, contributing time or resources to a charity, or even making sure that you take care of your own health screening, your efforts will be appreciated by those who are most in need of your support. There are many ways in which we make it better to be there, and I know that this is one way that will make a difference on a personal level.
Thanks for what you do, I’ll see you soon.
