First-Tennessee-ParkLast week marked the return of baseball to historic Sulphur Dell, the former site of Nashville’s Negro League team and the location of the brand-new First Tennessee Park, home of the Nashville Sounds.

The brand-new LEED Silver-certified park includes a 4,000 sq. ft. outfield bar serving frozen cocktails and creative pub fair, plus completely
overhauled concessions areas, suites and clubs with a variety of local
flavors including house-smoked BBQ with chow chow, Tennessee “Hot Chicken” tenders, and lots of ballpark classics.

Congratulations to all the people who contributed to the design, menus,
and opening operations for a job well done! Helping out the unit team of
Sue Woodley, Brooke Kelley, Deric Grooms, Chef Ken Montgomery and Dave Keitel
in design and implementation were members of the Hospitality Design Group Eric
Wooden, John Johnson and Todd Andrews as well as Judy Moline. Assisting in the
effort were visiting managers Adam Curley, Gene Williams, Armando Bonilla, Melvis
Perez, Jeff Fernandez, Kurt McKenney, Patrick Orr, Alfred Smith, Dan Filareki, Ismael
Lasalle, Steve Fratto, and Doug Conner.
