Transatlantic Food Swap
News, NewsletterOn April 11, our teams at RFK Stadium and the Stadium of Light swapped “fries for pies” to give fans of sister clubs DC United and Sunderland AFC—both Centerplate clients— a taste of the other team’s stadium experience at concurrent home games.
Sunderland fans kicked things off on Friday, with an event hosted with
the Club’s non-profit partner Foundation of Light and the Sundreland women’s team.
Then, on Saturday, four stands at the Stadium of Light sold RFK-inspired Old Bay fries
with a Cheddar-ale dipping sauce and cheesesteaks; meanwhile, DC United fans tried

Before working with Centerplate, I didn’t realize game food could be so gourmet and high end. This further reiterates the point. This is a wonderful idea which can only enhance the customer experience.
