CEO NewsletterTeam,
There are a lot of great things happening in and around the Centerplate world.
As we gear up for the winter season, our resident ski experts Dave Oberlander, Pat Bruhn and Pete Schoener delivered an engaging presentation to the members of SANY (Ski Areas of New York) during their annual conference held this year at Hunter Mountain. Not only did it generate strong feedback, but an audience member actually approached the team to explore engaging Centerplate for their resort. Anytime we get the opportunity to speak to the client community we should take advantage. Please reach out to Bob Pascal if an opportunity presents itself and the Marketing team will provide you full support.
In other news, we’re just a few short weeks away from opening our latest Sophie’s restaurant in the Saks in Sarasota, Florida. Michael Kaufman and his team are putting the final touches on this beautifully appointed bar and restaurant, which is already generating buzz in the local press. Please join me in welcoming our newest team members Felicia O’Brien, GM and Dianna MacPhee our Executive Chef, who will be leading our efforts there.
Congratulations to Chef Max Knoepfel at the Nashville Music City Center for winning the 2014 Silver Spoon Award presented by Venues Today magazine. The award recognizes Responsible Epicurean and Agricultural Leadership (REAL) certification by the U.S. Healthful Food Council. Chef Max’s use of local produce and sustainable sourcing, coupled with offering healthy menu options made him a shoo in for the award. Thanks Chef, a well deserved honor, the company salutes you.
In the coming weeks, I’ll update you on some of the new business opportunities that we are working on in addition to a few of the exciting projects that we have in store for 2015. For now, remain committed to providing exceptional hospitality for our guests and clients. And let’s head into the 4th quarter with a laser focus on meeting our financial and operational objectives.
I’ll see you soon…
