CEO NewsletterTeam,
On Monday I had the pleasure of visiting our corporate offices in Greenville, SC.
It gave me the chance to personally meet and thank a number of our staff. What impressed me most was the level of enthusiasm, dedication and team spirit that I felt as soon as I walked in the door. I came away with a new appreciation for the amount of great work that comes out of Greenville.
This weekend, Levi’s Stadium opens for its first regular season NFL game, as everyone knows, this a major milestone for our company. It really is a phenomenal venue, and I’m proud that we are the team who gets to change the standards in this industry, and to be recognized for it.
At the helm of Levi’s is Zach Hensley. He and his team have been working tirelessly for months to prepare for this day—he will be leading a host of visiting managers from around our network working in support of a great opening. At 5:00 this morning, Chef Dinari Brown and the culinary team showed off a little of what we do best (you can watch it in The News on our website).
Of course, all of this underscores an important point I made last week: we’re all in this business together. I’ll be there on Sunday for this historic opening, and I’m looking forward to an amazing display of event hospitality that can only be executed by the best team in the industry.
Reflecting on the past few weeks has been a humbling experience.
I want you to know that I intend to visit many of our venues over the coming months, and I’ll continue to reach out by phone and email, to personally talk about—and listen to—what you and your teams see as our greatest opportunities.
In the meantime, I want you to continue driving our business forward and carry the Centerplate banner out into the world as the standard for excellence.
I’ll be seeing you soon.
