CEO Newsletter
Te3am,
The update this week is solely to reinforce the messages from our company wide announcement today. We will commence with the E3 moments again next week.
As you know, The Lindley Group is adopting the Centerplate positioning moving forward. Centerplate is now a unified global brand. Please check out the new website and take some time to travel through all its sectors. This is an exciting development and reinforces the power of our great brand. This truly is a case of 1+1= 11… our global opportunities have never been stronger. We have the vision to be the world’s most respected Event Hospitality company. Our brand promise has been refined to better reflect not just what we do but how our clients and guests feel when they have experienced Centerplate. At Centerplate “we make it better to be there” and we have done so since 1929. I thank you.
As I have mentioned many times, profitable growth is the necessary oxygen for any world-class company. We have certainly delivered on this requirement almost doubling our revenues and more than doubling the clients we have the privilege of serving over the last 5 years. We are looking at ways to grow our footprint in Europe and fully expect to make a series of very, very exciting announcements in the next month. Additionally we began work this week on another acquisition for our North American operation. While in its infancy we are excited about the potential of closing on this deal and we will keep you posted.
Finally, I thank you for making a challenging Y13 a success and I personally look forward to making my 6th year with you our best ever. Thank you for making a difference and being the difference in our vision to be the most respected Event Hospitality on the planet. Our immediate challenge is to make sure that every one of our clients and potential clients see clearly that “we make it better to be there” for them and their guests.
We have received countless emails, texts, tweets and phone calls both in North America and the UK showing that the rebranding has been very well received. In fact, a non-client called to congratulate us on the new positioning. This message sent from Ken Frazier to his team is a great summary:
I really love the “Be There” branding. Des explained it brilliantly and it sure gives us a wide breadth of use in communicating what we can deliver to our guests, and reminds us as well about the ambitions we should be pursuing – Be respected. Be admired. Be a leader. Be committed. Be amazing.
What will you “BE” in 2014?
Onwards!
