In case you haven’t heard the big news, earlier today Centerplate was unanimously awarded the hospitality contract for the Las Vegas Convention Center. The LVCC is widely recognized as one of the most desired convention destinations in the world, and I am incredibly proud to welcome it to our amazing portfolio of premier venues. We now serve over 35 convention centers including 8 of the top 10 as ranked by Cvent – further solidifying Centerplate as the # 1 choice for hospitality by leading convention centers. Across the board, our existing clients gave us incredible recommendations – and while I need to thank a number of our colleagues who have worked diligently on this project – I’d like to start by thanking each of you for what you do every day. Without question this process has confirmed that what our clients say about “you” is what clearly differentiates us from our competitors. Thank you!
This was a total team effort between new business development, operations, culinary, marketing, design, finance and legal. Our great people have spent countless hours on this complicated and competitive project, visiting the venue, attending events and working hard to understand exactly what it will take to be successful with this operation. And for that I offer special thanks to Bob Pascal, John Vingas, Diana Evans, Kay Towner, David Skorka, Gary Prell, Keith King, Alexander Powell, Marsha Graber, Hadi Monavar, Eric Wooden, Lauren Gretzula, Greg Fender and Richard Ginzel for the extraordinary effort that it took to bring this over the finish line.
