Greetings everyone,
Because of all your hard work and best efforts, we’re off to a great start in 2018… thank you!
As you all know, Centerplate has officially joined the Sodexo family! I urge each of you to stay focused and work diligently to deliver the best possible results for your clients, thus ensuring a strong year for our company. Together, we will bring considerable strengths to our operations and our clients, and I am genuinely excited for our future opportunities.
This January marked our second CES at the Las Vegas Convention Center. For an encore to last year’s amazing opening, we blew away the previous year’s record sales. Our teams nailed the North American International Auto Show at the Cobo Center and the International Boat Show at BC Place. Special kudos to John, Richard, Chef Stephan, Jason, Shannon, Chef Frank, Chef Robin, Andrew, Paul, Chef William and your respective teams. It’s your never-ending dedication that separates us from our competitors.
We also have great news from New Orleans… in the 2017 surveys conducted by the NFL, the Saints ranked number one in Overall Gameday Satisfaction. A big round of applause to Steve Trotter, Kernell Jupiter and Chef Lenny Martinsen for Making It Better to Be There for NFL fans.
A special word too for our ski resort teams in the northeast who have been braving the extreme cold this winter to provide yet another extraordinary season for our guests. Specifically, ORDA is in the midst of a $20M renovation to enhance the current facilities at Whiteface and Gore, creating state-of-the-art skiing, lodging, dining, and retail opportunities. The teams at Belleayre, Bromley, Cannon, Catamount, Cranmore, Gunstock, Holiday Valley, Jiminy Peak and Smugglers Notch continue to operate in waist deep snow and bone chilling temperatures, providing the highest level of hospitality in the ski business. Thanks to Mike, Albert, Jim, Christian, Erin, Steven, Adam, Tyler, John, Franco, Matt, Peter and their respective teams.
We are only a few weeks away from our Annual Meeting in Raleigh! There’s a lot to talk about this year. I’m looking forward to welcoming you and many of our new colleagues.
