Every computer that can access the internet directly or through a local network must have Virus Protection installed, enabled, and current. The corporate office purchases virus protection licenses for aforementioned computers and provides access to virus protection software at info.centerplate.com. It is the local General Manager’s (GM) responsibility to confirm that this policy is in effect for all computers under the General Manager’s control.
The GM will assign a person to implement this policy. The following schedule will befollowed to ensure Virus Protection is installed, enabled, and current.

Virus Protection Schedule

  • Install Virus Protection Software – Prior to new computer being put into service or as required to keep Virus Protection Software current.
  • Update Virus Protection Software – Daily.
  • Full Virus Scan of Computer – Weekly.
  • Virus Removal – As required by the Virus Protection Software.
  • Quarantine of Computer – As required to remove infected computer from network and internet access.
  • Quarantine of Location – As required to identify and isolate location with Computer Virus Infections that adversely impact other locations in Company.
  • User Training – Users will be briefed periodically to ensure each user understands how computer viruses spread; how computer viruses adversely impact both local and company wide computer systems; and the responsibility of each user to use company computers according to company policy.

Corporate IS will provide technical assistance to ensure each GM can meet this policy, including Phone Support, Technical materials, software, licenses, education.
