Staff recruitment was challenging in 2018. We worked with HR to keep an ongoing advertisement running for banquet captains and servers. Refer a friend gained a couple of qualified servers. I was very successful managing the labor budget and actuals. We gained a new Executive Chef in 2018 and she and I share a common vision for the team moving into 2019. Our Executive Steward left in 2018 but prior to her leaving we developed some very effective procedures that benefited the banquets team as well as the stewarding department. I obtained my CPCE certification in Aug. and also obtained my Serve Safe certification.
