Jack Woollard and his Top Dog
This season, the Centerplate Team at White Hart Lane invited Junior Members of the Club to send their own favorite recipes to top the hot dogs at the stadium.
The winner, Jack Woollard won a signed chef’s jacket and a place on the menu for his submission.
Jack’s recipe–a spicy apple chutney topped with crispy bacon–earned raves from the Club and GM Simon McMain and head chef Gareth Williams, who worked to translate Jack’s recipe into a menu offering for ‘Spurs fans.
His entry, which comes with an illustration, explains “My Spurs Top Dog recipe should wine because it’s awesome… (I know because I tried it). …There’s no ketchup, because ketchup is red and we all know what that means!” (For those of us who don’t know what that means, red is the team color of the ‘Spurs rival team, who won’t be mentioned here).
