For the fourth year in a row, Centerplate welcomed guests to the Baltimore Convention Center in support of a very special cause: “The Journey Home,” Baltimore City’s plan to end homeless in the city.

The annual event, hosted in partnership with the United Way of Central Maryland and Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, raised more than $570,000 for the cause this year. Centerplate President and CEO, Chris Verros, welcomed guests and had the honor of introducing this year’s special guest: Broadway musical and film star Kristen Chenoweth, whom Centerplate invited to perform for the occasion. Our local team led by newly appointed GM Michael Barrett and Chef Gerald Infantino absolutely knocked it out of the park for the client and the 750 high-profile guests in attendance.

The annual event, which has in prior showcased talent including recording artists John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, and Jewel, has successfully raised nearly $2 million for Baltimore’s fight against homelessness.
