Industry News: New FDA Menu Labeling Regulations

Last week, the FDA announced new requirements for chains and food service operations to list calorie information on menus, and to have nutritional information regarding products onsite.
We are aware of the ruling. Early analysis by our legal department indicates that Centerplate-operated facilities do not meet the minimum threshold, however licensed locations by national brands (such as Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks) may be affected.
It is too early to tell definitively what will be covered (or when it will actually take effect), due to anticipated Congressional challenges by various industries. We will continue to monitor for developments.
