2018 Goals Attainment:

Better time management- it took more than half the season to figure out the most effective way in replenishing all 26 stores (+8 from 2016 season). Answer for 2018: Now that we’ve figured out how to replenish each store in a more effective way, i’d like to try to utilize counterpoint more for a more automated reporting replenishment.

Need to hire a couple more warehouse associates with retail warehouse specific credentials, so they can take care of the replenishment. That way i can put my hands more into set up and staffing an event appropriately. Answer for 2018: We moved one of our store supervisors into the warehouse manager position as we figured out that he’s better utilized in helping back of house/operations. This took pressure off of Rafael, and we were able to utilize him with the overall set up of the stadium. We also searched for retail associates with retail warehouse experience and acquired Keyon, who has been as asset.

Was difficult to complete set up correctly and items were just thrown onto hangers and hooks. need to hire staff that care more about how the stores looks instead of just collecting a paycheck. Answer for 2018: We hired a brand new set up team with “visual merchandise” experience, so they understood merchandising a space instead of just throwing things onto hangers an hooks and moving on. They cared more about how the store looked overall.

Better communicate operation plan and ask for help with decision making instead of getting overwhelmed. Answer for 2018: I still got overwhelmed and that’s never going to change. But once i was able to delegate a little more to the new warehouse manager, he took some items off my plate. I also was able to delegate more of the even based staffing to Ryan, so he took over that whole part of the department and i would just need to check in on him.
