Motivational Monday October 24, 2016
Motivational MondayTeam,
Below are the answers to last week’s brain teasers as well as this week’s questions:
- A green house is made of glass.
- She dropped them into the coffee grounds.
- The wise son brought a candle and a box of matches. After lighting the candle, the light filled the entire room.
This week’s new brain teasers:
- What are four things that have an “eye” but cannot see?
- A boy is stuck on a deserted island. There is a bridge to connect the island to the mainland. Halfway across the bridge there is a guard. The guard will not let anyone from the mainland to the island, or anyone from the island to the mainland. If the guard catches someone, he sends him or her back. The guard sleeps for 30 seconds and then is awake for 5 minutes. The island is surrounded by man-eating sharks, and the boy does not have anything with him except for his own shirt and his pants. It takes the boy 1 minute to cross the bridge. How does he cross the bridge without getting caught?
- How can you get 10 horses in to 9 stables, bearing in mind that each horse must have its own stable?
Have a great Monday,
Naomi

1. Hurricane
2. No clue… I guess practice running to improve speed to make across in 30 seconds
3. Ten Horses has 9 letters so you can fit each letter in a stall for a total of 9 stalls?
Thank you!

1) Needle, potato, tornado, hurricane
2) Cross halfway, have his back to the mainland when the guard wakes up. The guard then sends the boy to the mainland, thinking that he is sending him back to where he came from.
3) Place the first nine horses in a stall. Put the last horse in the first stall and take the first horse out and put into the second stall. Take the second horse out, etc…
