Individual Performance Review

The appraisal process serves two purposes. First, it provides managers with objective information about employee performance. This information is one factor which may be used in determining wage reviews. Second, it provides employees with a “yardstick” to measure their performance and to help plan their future job objectives. Normally, individual performances are reviewed on an annual basis; however, a review may be completed at any time.
An appraisal is not a contract or a commitment to provide a salary or other form of compensation adjustment, a raise, a promotion, a bonus, continued employment, or retention. An appraisal is only one of several factors that the Company uses in making these and other employment decisions.

Promotions

Centerplate’s policy, wherever practicable, is to promote from within. Centerplate strives to promote the most capable and highest performing employees. Promotions and transfers will be in accordance with Centerplate’s Equal Employment Opportunity Policy. Promotions are based on appropriate criteria including, but not limited to, qualifications, performance, attendance, enthusiasm, job interest and an employee’s likelihood of success in the position.
Nothing in this Handbook creates a guarantee that any particular promotion will be granted, or that any employee will be employed for a definite period of time. All employees remain employees atwill unless otherwise provided by a written contract of employment for a term or an applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Job Posting

At Centerplate, Job Posting is a communications tool intended to inform employees of job vacancies and to provide employees with the opportunity to express interest. This is one of several ways Centerplate identifies candidates for job vacancies. Job Posting procedures may vary within sites.
